An MP4 that plays everywhere

MP4 is the one video format every device agrees on. EzCutter prefers H.264 video with AAC audio wherever YouTube provides it, which is what phones, smart TVs, messaging apps and editing software expect. At higher resolutions, where YouTube only publishes newer codecs, EzCutter still hands you an MP4 container so the file opens normally.

Clips with the original 16:9 frame are copied without re-encoding, so the quality you download is the quality YouTube streams — nothing is recompressed.

Choose your resolution

720p is the fast option for sharing in chats. 1080p is the recommended default and is free. Supporters can go to 1440p or full 4K for projects that will be edited, zoomed or shown on a big screen. If the original upload is lower than the resolution you pick, you get the best version available.
