What we collect

If you use EzCutter without signing in

We receive the YouTube link, the start and end times and the options you choose so we can make your clip. Like any website, our servers also receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which we use to run the service and prevent abuse.

If you sign in with Google

Sign-in is handled by Supabase using Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture, and we store your account's plan (Free or Supporter) and Supporter expiry date.

If you become a Supporter

Payments are processed by Ko-fi (and, where offered, Stripe). We never see or store your card details. We receive your email address and the payment confirmation so we can email you an activation code, which is stored with its redemption status. Emails are sent through Resend.

Your clips

Videos are fetched and cut on our servers only to produce the file you asked for. Finished clips are kept temporarily so you can download them and are deleted automatically shortly afterwards, typically within an hour. We don't build a library of your clips or share them.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as light or dark theme. We don't use advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can use EzCutter without an account. If you have one and want your data exported or deleted, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
